Skype and In Class Visits:
Contact me about my free Skype visits!! I can tailor my talk to your needs. I talk about time and clocks and read my book, Annie’s Special Day, with tons of interaction.[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]
This fall I’ll be talking at elementary schools, presenting kids with my book and giving them a fun time with time and clocks. If you are a teacher, or librarian, please contact me if you are interested in hosting one of my talks.
I begin and end my talk with questions and read my book aloud, asking comprehension questions throughout. A Teacher’s Guide is available here. I finish with an activity measuring a minute.
What Librarians Say About My Visits:
ByRenee M. Kelahanon April 16, 2013Format: PaperbackI invited the author in to my school library in April to read her book to our Kindergarten students. The book does an excellent job illustrating both analog (“face clocks,” as the students called them) and digital clocks. It also illustrated the concept of hours and the number of hours in day. The book is well paced, and the children related very well to the situational scenes (classroom, home, birthday party, slumber party.) End end-of-the-year Kindergarten and anytime in first grade are perfect ages for this book!—via Amazon Review
